Washington Title Insurance Company ("WTIC") was incorporated under the laws of the State of New York on or about October 14, 1992.

WTIC was licensed to transact the business of title insurance in accordance with paragraph 18 of Section 1113(a) of the New York Insurance Law.   WTIC's principal place of business was located in Floral Park, New York.

An Order of Liquidation was filed on November 18, 2011 in the Nassau County Clerk’s Office.

Please take notice that the Liquidator moved by order to show cause for a reargument of that portion of the Order of Liquidation that denied a temporary stay of third-party proceedings against insureds of WTIC and other persons or entities that WTIC is required to defend under its insurance policies (“Third-Party Stay”) and the Court granted an interim Third-Party Stay pending a determination of the Liquidator’s motion, which is returnable on January 6, 2012.
