Horizon Healthcare of New York, Inc. (“HHNY”) was a for profit New York corporation licensed to operate as a health maintenance organization pursuant to Article 44 of the Public Health Law.
On April 13, 2005, by unanimous consent of the board of directors, HHNY consented to entry of an order of liquidation pursuant to Article 74 of Insurance Law.
An Order of Liquidation (“Order”) was signed by Justice Eileen A. Rakower of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, and filed on April 17, 2008.
This Order appoints Eric R. Dinallo, Superintendent of Insurance of the State of New York, as liquidator (“Liquidator”) of HHNY and directs him to take possession of HHNY’s property, liquidate its business and affairs and dissolve its corporate charter pursuant to Article 74 of the Insurance Law of the State of New York (“Article 74”).
